The Photo Nazi

Hi you really cannot fault me for it.

Let's face it ... if you have ever tried taking photos with a baby, you will know that it is not easy at all, to get a nice shot.

So in order to get a good one, you take many many many and many many many more ... you get the idea :)

So Young ... So Busy !!

The month of December was indeed chock-a-block full of events and celebrations for baby Asher.

First it was Auntie Jessie's wedding. A week later, Uncle Paul's wedding ... followed immediately by a week in Malacca for Asher's 1st DCD church camp, with Asher's very 1st Christmas following closely after!! Daddy and Mummy were on leave for the holiday season ... which means fun filled days all Christmas, right through to the New Year.

Before there is time for a breather ... it is time for Asher's very 1st all-nighter - his very 1st Watch Night service. And a week after, it will be Auntie Alyna's wedding !! ... WOW !! Talk about BUSY and so many firsts ... beat that!!

But hey ... never too busy to stop for a couple of photos ... here are some from Uncle Paul's wedding ... enjoy :)
Group photo with Uncle David, Auntie Linda, Grandpa and Grandma

The air is fresher up high ... sitting on Uncle Andrew's shoulders for a bird's eye view of the dinner setting

Who's that pretty girl ... *phew* it is only Auntie Joyce

Too good an opportunity to miss ... a photo with daddy and mummy ... dressed for the occassion :) ... like the flower in the hair *wink*

Mission Asher Mop

Now that Asher is able to crawl quite well and quite fast, we as parents, have great fun at his expense :) I guess the video says it all ...

Nurture or torture ... you decide.

PS:
Need someone to mop your floor? This baby can do a pretty good job ... for FREE! Complete with attached cleaning cloth. Also comes with self excreting antiseptic floor cleaning liquid (haha ... bet you did not know that a baby's saliva has antiseptic qualities ... just like yours!) and tons of entertainment and good laughs. Don't be a Stranger

Uncle Hamzah is back in town ... and it is time again, to meet up with Uncle Jon and Auntie Yi Hui. It is strange how we only meet up everytime Hamz is back ... but it always still feels like it was just yesterday we last met up. The company is definetly cosy with updates, updates and more updates ... Aahhh ... good friends.

As for Asher ... he is certainly enjoying the company ... no stranger at all ...
In the arms of uncle Jon ...

Ooohhh ... big hugs and big smiles ....

Aaahhh ... and leaving his signature saliva mark on dear Uncle Hamz ... *slobber*slobber* drool*

My 1st Overseas Trip

They start young ... globe trotting :)
We spent a weekend over in KL (23 - 25 Oct).

Asher's 1st time on the plane - He did well. Doesn't he already look like the seasoned traveller ... not looking one bit out of place amongst all the luggages ... all set for take off ...
1st fine dining experience ... In case you were wondering ... the wine glass is empty. *Phew!*

1st time up the Petronas Towers ... a 1st for all three of us actually. BIG smiles there ...

1st time 'eating' at a road side stall ... It was a pity he could not eat any of the yummy food ... even though i am sure he very much wanted to. Does not help that almost everytime he wakes from his nap, he sees his parents eating !!

Bonding time with daddy ... it was thanks to Kelvin's conference in KL, that we decided to take the trip up.
Judging from the BIG smiles ... I think he had fun :)

Certianly a trip of many firsts for baby Asher ... and definetly the 1st of many trips to come.

My Aunties, PoPo and Me

Asher is really such a draw. Never have i had my aunties and PoPo come over so regularly as now ... just spend that couple of hours playing with the boy :) And all thanks to Auntie Lyna, for so kindly driving them down, on her day off.

In the arms of Great Grandma ... And if you were wondering, yes, Asher just got a hair cut ... the shortest yet.
Aahhh ... Nothing like family ...

Stuff it !!

Asher is definetly growing up faster than i can update his blog.

Right now, he is just stuffing anything and everything he can get his hands on ... into his mouth.

His entire fist,

his Pooh bear toy phone,

his cloth book,

he is really stuffing it in ...

... but i think his favourite, are his daddy's fingers ... reckon they must feel like eating little cocktail sausages *hee*hee* :)

And if you are wondering what's with the stuffing of things into the mouth .... let's just say that he is teething. And guess what we found just the other day, indeed .... TEETH !!! 2 little tiny pearly whites ... peeking out of the bottom gums .... so exciting !!!

ME, MYSELF and MY PRAM

They start young these days ... going to the showroom and picking out their favourite four wheeler.
It took us three outings and two fittings to pick out this gorgeous pram - once without the baby ... and then we realised that we neede to size him in the pram ... then the next round with the baby ... but the pram was out of stock and finally ... the day of the purchase !!

Asher took to his pram like bees to honey :) ... cushion comfort all the way ... with a protable fan (with lights) included!!

Just to give you an idea of how comfortable he is ... he has agreed to pose for a photoshoot ... aka mother frantically snapping away, during an evening stroll in the park *wink*

Day Out

A photo opportunity for the family ... ToysRUs :)

At this age and size, Asher is extremelly portable. And i must say, he is such an obliging baby ... it is almost like he knows when he should be good and when he can throw a fit. When he is outside, he is usually on his best behaviour ... not to imply that he is monster at home ... but he is, at this point in time, very easy to lug around.
And it is helps that he is such a cuite ... hee hee :) A good conversation starter ... with aunties at the hawker centre, sales girls in the shopping mall, neighbours in the lift and the uncle sitting beside you on the bus.
Let's hope that the cute-ness does not wear out anytime soon ... hee hee :)

Turn Turn Turn

Another milestone in the growing up months of Asher Toy ... my baby can turn !!
Such a bif achivement ... just at all of 3.5 months !!

Just over the weekend, we were yanking his arm, probing his stomach, lifting his legs ... all in the name of giving him a helping hand, to get him to turn. And yesterday, when we went to pick him up from my parents' place, the first greeting that came was "Asher can turn !! Look Look ... he can turn all by himself !!"

Never imagined that watching my baby turn from his back onto his stomach and back again could bring such joy and such excitement!!

Here is a sneak peek at this milestone ... (pardon the quality of the video though ... )

But can't help feeling though, that i missed out on a little, not being there to witness this massive feat first hand.

Good job baby ... i am proud of you :)

Baby Gym

Things just seem to happen overnight. Yesterday, he was still only staring at the toys hanging above on the baby gym, today, he is swiping and tugging on them with his little hands.

How fast they learn ...
And his favourite item seems to be the trophy ... possibly cos it has a plastic mirror on the bottom for his to stare with such fascination at his own image .... or perhaps, he is that little champion in my heart ...

Everyday, he is learning something ... everyday, something changes ... You are such a joy to watch Asher ... I love You.

Zzzzzz ...

Sleep for some, is such a precious commodity, but for some, it is what they do all day ...

We hear horror stories from friends of other friends whose babies wake up every 2-3 hours through the night, even at three, four months. Imagine that ... going to bed at 11pm, awake at 2am, back to bed at 3am, and awake again at 5am and before you can get back to bed, it is time to wake up for work ... ARGH !!! And you know what happens when the lack of sleep hits ... it drives you looney !!!

But we thank God, that Asher is a good sleeper - he was sleeping through the night, even at 2 monts or so ... Trust me! that five to six hours of good deep sleep really helps. Not to say that it is enough ... i miss those days of sleeping in, on weekends, without having to wake up in between for feeds and to sanitise bottles .... but it really helps.

The little fellow can sleep !! ... it does not matter when, where or with who ... when it is time to knock out ... it is time to knock out !!!

Oh yes ... sleep is such a precious commodity.

Tiny Toes ...

The miracle of life ... look at those wonderfully formed toes ... aren't they the cutest :)
So wonderfully and so fearfully made ... isn't God great !!

Happy Birthday Asher
